Red White & Blue Jello Shots

Layered Jell-O shots in red, white, and blue, perfect for your July 4th party or patriotic holidays. Sweetened condensed milk gives the white layer a creamy twist!

Ingredients

Blue Layer:

  • 1 box blue Jello
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • ½ cup cold water
  • ½ cup vodka

White Layer:

  • 2 packets unflavored gelatin
  • ½ cup cold water
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk

Red Layer:

  • 1 box red Jello
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • ½ cup cold water
  • ½ cup vodka

Garnish:

  • Whipped cream or Cool Whip
  • Patriotic Sprinkles
  • Optional: Maraschino cherries

Instructions

  • Dissolve blue Jello in 1 cup boiling water. Stir in ½ cup cold water and ½ cup vodka. Pour into 1 oz plastic shot glasses, filling ⅓ of the way. Chill 2–3 hours.
  • Sprinkle the unflavored gelatin over the top of a ½ cup of cold water, and let it sit for 5-10 minutes. Add 1 cup boiling water and dissolve. Stir in condensed milk. Cool to room temp. Pour over blue layer. Chill until it has set.
  • Dissolve red Jello in 1 cup boiling water. Add ½ cup of cold water and ½ cup of vodka. Pour over white layer. Chill overnight or a couple of hours until the shots are firm.
  • Top with whipped cream, patriotic sprinkles, and optional maraschino cherry right before serving to guests.

Notes

  • Use a measuring cup for neat pouring.
  • Replace vodka with cold water for a non-alcoholic version.
  • Best made 1 day ahead and stored in the fridge.
