Christmas Tree Puff Pasty Appetizer

Flaky puff pastry filled with creamy spinach dip, shaped like a Christmas tree, and baked until golden. A festive, shareable appetizer for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

For the spinach filling:

  • 1 10 oz package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
  • 1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Christmas tree bread:

  • 2 sheets puff pastry thawed
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Line baking sheet with parchment.
  • Mix spinach, cream cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Roll puff pastry into a triangle. Place on baking sheet.
  • Spread spinach dip evenly over triangle.
  • Roll out second pastry sheet, cut into triangle, and place on top. Trim to match.
  • Cut horizontal strips on sides, leaving center intact. Twist strips to form branches.
  • Brush tree with garlic butter.
  • Bake 30–35 minutes until golden brown.
  • Cool 5 minutes before serving warm.

Notes

  • Drain spinach well before mixing.
  • Assemble ahead of time and bake when ready.
  • Best served warm, straight from the oven.
