Apple Rose Puff Pastries

These apple roses use puff pastry and thinly sliced apples to create beautiful, bakery-style treats. They’re sweet, spiced, and perfect for impressing guests with minimal effort.

Ingredients

  • 2 puff pastry sheets
  • 3 red apples thinly sliced
  • 1/2 lemon juiced
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare a muffin tray with nonstick spray.
  • Wash apples, slice thinly, and toss with lemon juice, 1–2 tsp sugar, and a pinch of cinnamon.
  • Brush pastry sheets with melted butter. Sprinkle with remaining sugar and cinnamon.
  • Cut each pastry sheet into 6 strips.
  • Layer apple slices along each strip, fold pastry over them, and roll into rose shapes.
  • Place roses in muffin tray and bake 25–30 minutes until golden.
  • Cool for 10 minutes, then dust with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

  • Slice apples as thinly as possible for easy rolling.
  • Use a sharp knife or mandoline for even slices.
  • Best enjoyed fresh from the oven, though leftovers reheat well.
